Does anybody know a video editor that can import mpegs along with avis and wmvs? In addition, I need a dvd authoring tool.
Right now I have Kino Video Editor, but I don't seem to be able to import videos. Well... Something may have happened to my audio and video configurations... In that case I'd have to reinstall a lot of libraries. I also saw cinepaint (formerly filmgimp), but that seems more like an image editor than anything else.
For dvd authoring, I know there's dvdauthor, but it doesn't seem too promising.
For DVD burning software I can use K3b, and I have a DVD+R/DVD-R burner (can also do rewritables). So I think I'm pretty much all set in getting the thing on the media.
Thanks, I was able to install dvdauthor without a problem, and DVDStyler I ran into some library issues, but solved those problems. But Qdvdauthor doesn't seem to have installed. The installation thing was really weird. I ran the configuration file, and it brought up a graphical thingy. didn't have to type in make or make install, it just did it with a click of two buttons. However, I went into the menu in GNOME (2.12), and I didn't see it anywhere. So I tried it manually. Since it went through the configurations,I knew there would be a make file (especially since in that graphical thingy it supposedly installed it). So I did make, and then make install, and then make clean, and I didn't run into any errors, but it still doesn't show up in the GNOME menu.
Now, anybody know a better video editor that will allow me to import mpeg or avi files? I have Kino, but it doesn't allow me to import files.
