Making an XP Boot Up USB Stick in Xubuntu?
Good day, I want to ask if it is possible to make a USB stick to boot up a desktop computer with Windows XP, later to dual boot with Linux. But that aside, I need to find Windows XP Home Edition Nettops download and make it into a bootable USB memory stick and upload it onto the computer with the sticker that reads as before, XP for Nettops.
What software do I need? Is there a tutorial on youtube that is recommended?
" I need to find Windows XP Home Edition Nettops download"
The only legal way would be to contact the company that made the laptop. They might be able to offer a disc. Don't ask here for such things as the web admin doesn't allow it.
Setting aside that what you are asking is illegal, are you aware XP is going "end of life" in a few months? It will be completely unsupported and an extreme security risk to run Windows XP past April 2014.
" the computer in question has a XP sticker with the code not"
That code is usually an OEM code. Contact the company that made the computer. They usually offer recovery media for a nominal cost that will match that code. That OEM code is almost meaningless, the activation is usually bios/hardware confirmed.
