Makefiles, autotools nad documentation installation

I have basic project structure
  + doc
     + program.1
     + example_min.conf
     + example_full.conf
     + ToDo
     + HowTo

  + src
     + timestamp.hh

  + NEWS
  + ChangeLog
now i run autoscan, then autoconf, autoreconf -i and i have project prepared for
./configure && mke && make install
and everything is fine, it installs and uninstalls almost perfect. My problem is how to write or doc/ to include instalation of man pages (program.1), documentation (ToDo, HowTo), examples and config files (example_full.conf, example_min.conf).
