"makefile" how to?Please help...
 

I wrote a c code on mandrake linux 9.1. The code uses very basic libraries. I want to make the software to autoconfigure and install itself in the way that it can work on most linux and unix systems. Would anybody give me information or at least a reference to perform this task.

O'Reilly's book on C programming (I think it's called "Programming C") contains an excellent part on Make. You should really check it out if you want to get started with developing in Linux.
