MAKEDEV : no such user : root After uninstalling OpenOffice....

Hello Guys...

After uinstalling openoffice ..i restarted the system....then...its showing
MAKEDEV : no such user : root

Then it will take a long time to boot. I tried using single user mode. Again it shows the same error. No such user : root

Tried the rescue mode. But i installed the partitions as LVM. So cant mount the partitons.

So any suggestion how did this happened? and how can i solve this??

Your question makes very little sense, and touches on several things. You uninstalled openoffice...which somehow calls makedev, deleted your root user, and you installed partitions as LVM, which won't work???

Can you clarify ANY of this?
