make segmentation faults?
I've never seen "make" itself blow up like this before. Especially something as simple as "make clean".
Anyone else seen this happen? This occurred on an OpenSUSE 12.2 system (yeah, it's a little on the old side). The specific error message (in /var/log/messages) was/is: Code:
Jul 19 10:49:20 vger kernel: [48889.779514] make[11063]: segfault at 0 ip b7632bd1 sp bf9bcb9c error 4 in libc-2.15.so[b75b8000+19f000] Why still on 12.2 you ask? The 13.2 installer has been hanging after it detects the console and getting past that has been a stumper so far. (This system provides a needed function on the network so taking it down for a day to tinker with settings to get the darned installer to work is not too popular.) Any hints are greatly appreciated. As usual, TIA... -- Rick |
Can you reproduce it?
The ram is ecc? If not test it... Check if the library - and other programs - are correct, first I would run an "rpm -Va" ... |
