shanenin Member Contributing Member Registered: Aug 2003 Location: Rochester, MN, U.S.A Distribution: Gentoo Posts: 987 Rep:	make mrproper on patched kernel? I usually forget to run the command make mrproper before compiling my kerenl. Today I rembered to do it, but I go an error. The error was about a missing file. I am using a gentoo-kernel that is automatically patched fo me. My question: are you not supposed to run make mrproper after applying any patches?
