make menuconfig/config/xconfig problems when try building for ARM target

Hi,

I am trying to build kernel(mobilinux4.1) for ARM using x86 host. When do make config or make menuconfg or make xconfig, I am getting the following error.

------------------------------------------------------------------
linx-Ravee:~/montavista/devrocket2.0/workspace/mobilinux4.1 # make V=1 menuconfig
make -f scripts/Makefile.build obj=scripts/basic
gcc -Wp,-MD,scripts/basic/.fixdep.d -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -o scripts/basic/fixdep scripts/basic/fixdep.c

make[1]: *** [scripts/basic/fixdep] Error 1
make: *** [scripts_basic] Error 2
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

What I observed is that, it is picking headers from host include files rather than target include files. And even in the makefile I made changes to build using cross-compiled bin tools.

Any help is appreciated.

-Ravee.
