make menuconfig

In redhat linux 9, what directory do I 'make menuconfig' from. Also, how can I determine if the kernel-source is on the system for my current kernel ... where do I look?

Thanks,

Robert Liguori

You should do 'make menuconfig' in the directory where your kernel files are. If you haven't downloaded it, you probably haven't got the source in your system. You could try /usr/src (at least that is where my Debian system puts the files).
