Make files on NTFS partitions executable

Hi!
I have installed UT2004 on linux, but I used an NTFS partition for the installation directory due to lack of diskspace. Now I have the problem that Linux (Linux Mint 16 KDE in my case) doesn't allow executables on NTFS partitions - a .sh file, in this case. I have read in this article that you can edit your /etc/fstab file and add execution rights (I take it it works the same with Linux Mint). However, when I opened my fstab file, there is no mention of my NTFS partitions. This is strange, as I have checked the NTFS partitions for automount in the KDE system settings. I took it as evident that that software was merely a frontend for manipulating the fstab tables, but maybe there's more to it. Now I don't know where to do what...

It's the Linux version, NOT an .exe file. In fact, the installer, linux-installer.sh, could not be executed on NTFS, but I managed to install the game by moving the installer onto a Linux partition. Now I'm stuck with the NTFS partition, though, as the main program (ut2004) is there.

Make files on NTFS partitions executable

check if script has exec permission or invoke with sh script.sh; check if partition doesn't have noexec flag
