make debian package of application made in qt


I everybody i have made a application in qt it has two main files one is binary executable file second is app.desktop which creates a link in application menu.
I want to make a debian package for application made in qt. Is there any software for this purpose.

I doubt that there is a software for that, but Debian has excellent documentation on packaging.
