"Make" command not working


I've been trying to install gcc compiler for SuSE 9.1 Personal from rpmseek.com. I've downloaded and installed gcc and all its dependants but when I type the "make" command, nothing seems to happen. What did I miss?

Have you installed the make program ??
If not, you will need to
