Main and Base Software Sources in Update Manager Show "Unreachable"

Running Linux Mint 18.3 on ASUS laptop. Just finished up downloading and installing HPLIP 3.18.12 on my wife's and my computers.

Received an Opera-stable update notice, via Update Manager, so I clicked Install Updates, but nothing happened.

Thinking that Main or Base mirrors were too slow, I checked them. In both my Main and Base mirrors, ALL of the mirrors were displaying UNREACHABLE!

What did I do wrong? How do I fix it?

Are you able to access the internet via your browser?

Have you tried rebooting your machine?

Can you please paste the output from the following command, preferably within CODE tags (see https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...g.php?b=36313;):

Code:
inxi -r

I'm not familiar with the use of CODE tags, hydrurga, but here's what shows up when I type 'inxi -r'.

Thanks.

Are you running TimeShift and, if so (and after backing up any documents and files that may be affected by turning back time if relevant), can you revert to a snapshot taken before the issue occurred?

Done. Thanks.

Yes, just started using TimeShift, and only have one backup, which has the error.

Have you recently installed a proxy and/or VPN?

I don't think so. How would I check?

I DID have issues with my printer, having to install/reinstall HPLIP and finagle with printer setup.

I would be surprised if the printer installation caused this issue, although you never know.

Let's have a look at the actual errors that are being produced:

Code:
apt update

It appears now to be working.

Can you paste the output from:

Code:
apt upgrade
and agree to any upgrade requests during the process.

This is gonna take a while, hydrurga. Only 20% done now. Should I just bite the bullet and install Mint 19 CINNAMON (I purchased the CD awhile back)?

Killed it, hydrurga. I've taken entirely too much of your time, already. I'll install Mint 19 and we'll see how it goes.
