Hi All,

this is the situation:

1. when i am trying to install MailScanner 4.25-14 this what i get

[root@Relay MailScanner-4.25-14]# ./install.sh




You need to install the patch command from your Linux distribution.

Once you have done that, please try running this script again.


2. next phase i download this file patch-2.5.4-18.i386 and try to install, this what i
get:

[root@Relay lib]# rpm -i patch-2.5.4-18.i386.rpm

error: failed dependencies:

libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3) is needed by patch-2.5.4-18

3. i type this command "rpm -q --whatprovides libc.so.6" and i get this :

[root@Relay lib]# rpm -q --whatprovides libc.so.6

glibc-2.2.5-42


4. i search in google this find any answers for my prob. i found that i neet to
up2date my Linux, so i download this file up2date-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm and try
to install him, but again this is what i get :

[root@Relay root]# rpm -Uvh up2date-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm

error: failed dependencies:

python >= 2.2.2 is needed by up2date-3.1.23.2-1

rhnlib >= 1.0 is needed by up2date-3.1.23.2-1

rhpl >= 0.81-2 is needed by up2date-3.1.23.2-1

rpm >= 4.1-1.05 is needed by up2date-3.1.23.2-1

5. i download python-2.2.2-26.i386.rpm and try to install .... this is what i get:

[root@Relay install]# rpm -i python-2.2.2-26.i386.rpm

error: failed dependencies:

libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3) is needed by python-2.2.2-26

libcrypto.so.4 is needed by python-2.2.2-26

libdb-4.0.so is needed by python-2.2.2-26

libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.3.2) is needed by python-2.2.2-26

libssl.so.4 is needed by python-2.2.2-26

so i have no FUCKING idea what is going on there ..... someone van help ?
