Mailman

I put this in the newbie forum, but this is probably a better place.

I attempted to remove the mailman that ships with redhat 9 after hearing about some issues. I then tried to install mailman-2.1-8, but am having issues. Here is what I get from commands:

1. rpm -i mailman-2.1-8.i386.rpm

result: rpm -i mailman-2.1-8.i386.rpm is already installed

(though its not installed)

2. rpm -e rpm -i mailman-2.1-8.i386.rpm

result: rpm -i mailman-2.1-8.i386.rpm is not installed

I'm missing something somewhere. I need to trash some file or reference somewhere so I can start over.

try this:
rpm -e rpm -i mailman-2.1-8

or
rpm -e rpm -i mailman-2.1-8.i386

first one should work
