Mail sending problem from evolution

Hi all,
I am using evolution 1.4.5 configured with gmail... It fetches mails nicely but could not send. It gives following error message:
error while performing operation:
MAIL FROM response error: Authentication Required e1sm2740715nzd

I have selectd the secure connection "always", authentication type "plain" and given my user mail id... Even I have tried all other possibilities.... Any help in this regard will be appreciated...

Thanks,
ANU

I also received the same error using Gmail with evolution. Not only us almost every forum has a thread with this problem.I guess something is wrong with Gmail's pop service.

P.S.Good to see another Hyderabadi using Linux.
