Question macromedia flash

I have run both Mandrake 9.1 and RedHat 9.0 and neither of them runs flash files very well. The problem is that the video and audio are not in sync, which makes it very difficult to watch. I have been trying the flash plugins and stand-alone players hosted on macromedia.com. Anyone figured out how to get them to work, or, failing that, an alternative? (I want flash to visit homestarrunner.com, so this is VERY important.)

I have no problems with Flash (at least the mozilla plugin) on my machine. (although its not redhat, I haven't heard many problems such as this with redhat systems). Do you have any problems with video / audio sync with other media apps such as mplayer or xine? it could be a driver issue.

Good Point. The only video I watch is flash. I'll try something else and see if the problem is more general.
