lynx through proxy?


Is it possible to use a proxy when surfing with lynx or w3m ?(preferably lynx)
If so how?
*/me total n[][]b, so need basic example*

The lynx man page details the settings needed to use a proxy:
man lynx

it's all clearly listed in the man page and docs for links.

first set a variable to point to your proxy:

http_proxy=a.b.c.d

then just run lynx:

lynx -pauth userassword

doddle.

Hello *;

How do I download an entire directory from an ftp site using "lynx" ?

The "d" option only download files as binary or URL.

I am running "slack-current" ; lynx2.8.4.
