lynx + cookies

I'm having trouble getting lynx to read/write cookies.
I'm running
Code:
lynx -accept_all_cookies -cookie_file=~/cookies.txt -cookie_save_file=~/cookies.txt -cookies
lynx -accept_all_cookies -cookie_file=~/cookies.txt -cookie_save_file=~/cookies.txt
lynx -accept_all_cookies -cookie_file=cookies.txt -cookie_save_file=cookies.txt -cookies
lynx -accept_all_cookies -cookie_file=./cookies.txt -cookie_save_file=./cookies.txt -cookies
And its not storing nor reading my cookies. Any clues?

I had this same problem with lynx. In the end I went over to w3m which does keep cookies between sessions.

Hmm. They don't have w3m installed. I'll try installing it... Though I hate having to fix makefiles to not use the root.
Thanks!

You also might want to look at elinks. It's very configurable and the colours look a little better than w3m.
