lxde ram usage

How can I find out how much ram and cpu the computer or os is using with lxde desktop environment? |
You can try to boot in text mode and check the memory usage using the commands free or top. Then reboot in graphical mode and check memory usage immediately thereafter. This will give you just a rough estimate of the amount of memory requested by the X environment. From the LXDE site:

I believe LXDE uses GDM.

Does anyone know of a good site that provides lxde desktop wallpapers in .png format? So far I have only found one that works. My screen resolution is 1024x600. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

There's no such thing as desktop specific wallpapers. You can use any photo that has the desired size. It might also be able to scale it of course, but you might lose quality, and the image can look weird if the proportions are not the same.
The only bad thing is that your has not a standard proportion. You might not find many images on that resolution so you are probably going to need to retouch them a bit using the gimp or any other image editor. What does this mean? Quote:

lxtask will show the ram usage.Or you can use top/htop. jpeg or png will work just fine for wallpaper. Any wallpaper site will work.
