LTSP up n running .. now I need to configure (input sought)
 

Hey,

I have successfully got my Linux Terminal Server up and running great for a typical setup, but I am looking to make many modifications to the way it is working. For the most part these are my key objectives.

1. When a user logs on I would like to limit their session to approx 1 hour, at which they will get a couple of warning messages to say save your work and so on, and then finally log the user off.

2. At the begining of every session when a user logs on I would like for it to be a fresh start, as if it were the first time the profile had been used. This would mean that any changes made during any other sessions, any files made any web sites viewed would be gone.

3. I would like some kind of disclaimer screen to be present upon login that would require the user to accept the terms of use.

4. The last issue would be restricting what files the user can and can't access so that they dont go fiddling around and deleting some important stuff. This can probably just be done using permissions but I thought I would throw it out there to see if any other options were out there.

I should mention that the user ID's will be marked for individual pc's not users. They will nto float from workstation to work station if that clears anything up. I realize these issues are somewhat unique to my situation and there very well may not be any options out there as of yet. I hope through this post I can find out what routes I may take to achieve this or if anyone has had any similar experiences. I would also say that although these are unique questions it doesn't mean it has to be exclusive to LTSP setups, any other setups may lead me in the right direction as well.
