One very annoying thing though is that wine doesn't know how to launch an application for attachments. If I get a .doc file attachment and double-click it, I'd love to have Open Office launch and open the file as opposed to staring at an error message: "Sorry, an application to open this document cannot be found".
Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can associate file types with applications INSIDE of wine???
I'm running Lotus Notes inside of wine running on Linux. No Windows is involved here.
What I'd like to do is have OO launch when I double click an attachment in Lotus Notes. Wine doesn't associate .doc files with OO though. At least, not at first glance.
I'm running the Lotus Notes Client 6.5.1 under wine and SuSE 9.0 sucessfully, too.
But when I want to open a mail within an attachment or sometimes HTML code, Notes/wine crashes.
Do you have an idea? This is the error log:

Hmm, yes. I know what you mean exactly. I have the same problem, i.e. with .doc files.
I am not using wine though, but crossover office (which is basically the same, but commercial). I also use Notes 6.51 and would like that it opens .doc files in OO nativ linux.
I guess I will dig around a little about this, I think there should be a solution. Will be back when I know more..
