Lossless audio formats support - question

Hello,

1.
I've recently installed Slackware 10.0, downloaded XMMS... but unfortunately it
won't play formats such as Monkey Audio (*.ape), Shorten (*.shn) and others
like these.
So, therefore I would like to ask, whether are there any plugins for XMMS so that
it could play *.ape and *.shn or if there is any other software that could provide
me with the playback of the mentioned file types.

2.
I was Googling for some, nevetheless didn't find the Monkey's Audio plugin
4 XMMS working dwl link. Could anyone provide me with the working link?

Greetz..
