Loser trying to Mplayer


I just installed Mplayer like i think im supposed to - ./configure , make, make install however when i type mplayer i dont really get much of anything, no GUI or any way of knowing what to do, any help?

Thankful for any help

install mplayer again with gui support. the only thing you have to change is do the configure command like this
Code:
./configure --enable-gui
and it should compile with gui support

I am also trying to get the gui to work you need to download a skin and place it in the proper directory. and also run the command
./configure --enable-gui
also need to download the fonts
all of the directions are in the README file
mplayer --help to use without the GUI
