Where is SuSE located?

Open a terminal and issue "/sbin/fdisk -l" (lower case L) as root,
then post the output in here.

get a windows 98 boot disk and boot to it

do fdisk, deleate all the suse partitions, create some windows partitions

then restore the master boot record with

fdisk /mbr

then install windows as normal.

If that doesnt work, you can go to the website for the drive, and download their utility package. boot of the drive manuf's disk, and do a "write disk pack" or "low level format" This is much more time consuming, but it will COMPLETLEY overwrite and deleate everything on the drive.

good luck, and have fun setting up your shiny new dual boot winxp pro/slackware 10 system

What kind of hd do you have that cost $200?!?!? There aren't
many that are that expensive...

Just pull it out of the case and put a 5-lb. magnet up against it
for 5 minutes - that'll get rid of SuSiE, and all her friends. ;^)

OMEGA_DOOM: yet again you have posted the "how do I remove Linux" thread. Why not read all the answers you have been given?

this is probably the most hateful thing i have ever posted here (my apologies to those who know me), but for a 54 year old man (at least that is what your profile says) you have terrible spelling and grammar. you have no concept of gathering information on your own or going to the source to get said information. looking back over your posts, you hardly ever respond to posts that give you either the answer or a place to look for one. if you are having so much trouble with linux, why not just give up and drop the windows xp cd in the drive and reboot. it isnt that hard to get rid of an OS when you have another one with you. one will overwrite the other if you tell it to, plus the windows xp install can delete partitions and thereby get rid of suse or fedora or whatever linux distro you have installed.

your posts are useless and frustrating to those of use who come here to help

how do you know and what do you mean by a hacked copy of suse? did you not know that novell bought suse????

when you install other OSes do you not see them taking over your hard drive???? that is what operating systems do!!!! how could you not see that happening?????

here, maybe this computer would be better suited for you

Since you list winxp in your distro profile, boot it, if you cannot insert the INSTALL CD and go to the recovery console then type FIXMBR.
This wil reinstall the windows boot loader, then boot to XP and manage your computer, locate the disk manager and click on it. Locate the linux partitions and tell windows to delete them it will be all to happy to fufill this request for you. Then if you are sure yo do not want to try linux again, rpartition the free space you created so windows can use it.
