loptop battery power warning


I am wondering if theres any program out there that can help me out .. I am using Mandrake 10.1 on a patriot 2420 loptop with intel celeron 1.2 Ghz and 128 ram.. is there any program out there thats desgined to warn the user that his battery power is low and needs to charge? when i had XP installed it normally bleeped to warn me that the batter power is low an need charging anything like that out there for linux??

There's a KDE app called klaptopdaemon that should do what you're after. It should be part of the KDE utils packages.
