Looking to install a music organizer on GNOME instead of KDE

I'm interested in getting a nifty-looking music player called Amarok. The problem is, it's been developed for KDE and I'm using GNOME. The site's FAQ tells me that I can still do it, with these instructions.

From my understanding, it seems to be a dependency issue caused by KDElibs. Could I solve that just by installing Amarok with Synaptic or APT? Or would I have to compile KDElibs like they say? Any help you could give would be appreciated.

Hello
If you want amarok, just do "sudo apt-get install amarok" and it'll all be taken care of. Maybe I have misunderstood the problem? Good luck!
