looking for voice chat (multi-platform)

Hello people,

I am looking for some software that i can use for voicechat, and it should be multi-platform. (i don't have much friends using linux ;) )

Well, i have tried some, like RAT, Teamspeak, gnomemeeting.. and they kinda worked.. but I am not satisfied with the quality they offer. (yeah i know, these apps are opensource or freeware , so i should not complain, but still)

Now, what exactly am i looking for:
- an application which i can use for voice chat

- decent quality... something equal to MSN (yes, sorry, i am comparing with microsoft like many others)

- multi platvorm , so the people i know can install it on windows and linux (i know that there are other os's, but linux and windows should already be fine.

- and if possible, it should be using only 1 or 2 ports.. (like teamspeak or picophone -this is a windows app-) because we all know these programs that cannot go to any router/firewall or similar. some simple portforwarding with 1 or 2 ports is almost always possible.

Now, maybe i am looking for something that doesn't exist at this moment. But I am not a software developper, so i cannot build it myself.

If anyone knows an application like that, it would be very nice. Because i would like to interact with other people, whatever OS they are using. It kinda sucks that there are so much obstacles for people that do not use Microsoft when it comes to interacting with the rest of the world ( and with interact i mean, share office documents, voicechat, and many other ways.., i already said "fsck you" to MSoffice, although excell is pretty good, and i am using Openoffice now.. and if someone can't read my documents, i just export them as pdf... one of the many new and good features from the latest openoffice ;) okay, sometimes in rtf or just plain txt.

Sorry for this long post, and that just for one question, but it's the frustration in me, i guess ;)

Cheers to you all, and thanks for any reply.

I don't use any voice chat prgms but Freshmeat.net turns up 13 programs when "voice chat" is entered as a search param.
