Looking for suggestions on MySQL one-way replication
We have two MySQL servers. One on our website and one internal (for testing, backups, etc). We have been using a php script I wrote to copy new records from the outer to the inner server manually. Now we want to go with a more automated and reliable solution to accomplish the same goal. Here are the basic requirements:
1. The tables on the inner contain records that the outer server will not have, these should not propagate to the outer server.
2. Any record that the outer server has that is not on the inner server should be added to the inner server.
3. It must be automated (cron, etc) and be fairly reliable.
Does anyone have suggestions on methods, or even products that can accomplish this. The php method worked fairly well but has required manual execution and minor tuning. Googling for replication of MySQL and the like has only turned up two-way solutions so far. Thanks.
