Looking for software for Satellite Internet


I have Internet via Satellite service (Downlink) at my home.

I hv just installed Mandrake Linux 9, in my PC. This O/s has automatically recognized and taken drivers for my B2C2 DVB card. It was great, as I did not had to search for the same.

Now I require an application, in which we input the transponder frequencies, Symbol Rate, Ploarity, and PIDs, under my Mandrake Linux environment.

Under windows such applications gets installed automatically whenever we install DVB drivers. But the same has not happened under this new Linux environment.

Pls guide & assit.

I have no first hand experience with satellite Internet but you should pop over to and browse their mailing list archives. There is lots of useful info there:
