looking for rpm dependency files


Hello all,
I was installing some rpms from RedHat Linux v9 in my updated Fedora Core 1 Linux system but found that it need some files prior to the installation. Can I samoe how find out that which particular package can provide me the required shared libraries(.so) and other for the installation of the under considration rpm.
Thanks in advance.

You have 2 options mainly
1) download and install the respective files ro
2) use yum to install the rpm (automatic dependency resolution)
