looking for new gui file manager

I recently switched from slackware to gentoo, I had from timed to time enjoyed using nautilus when I had a lot fo files to sort through and wanted to reduce the need for typing (and had a desire for a progress indicator) otherwise I usually prefer the terminal to get things done.

Th eproblem is I cannot make the older version of nautilus work with the newer stuff I have installed, it just won't compile :-(. I tried the newest version but did not liek it much at all, limited usability with little customisation room.

I run enlightenment witch is compatible with gnome and kde, does anyone have a sugestion for a small file manager? I am looking for something that lets me use multiple windows with drag and drop and the ability to type in what directory I wan tot be in at the top, it should be able to view directory contents, copy, and move, I need nothing else, no flash, no big features, no ability to view types of files, nothing extra, just a light weight file manager.

Sounds like you want Rox, except you hit / and type in the bottom instead of the top.

thanx, I will look into that, it looks liek it has some command-driven things, could you point me to the proper place to see all it's commands/syntax?
