Looking for kscope & cscope misbehavior

Hi everyone-

I'm using either FC 4 or RH 9.

I've installed cscope 15.5 onto my FC 4 system. It seems to compile the code database, but when I try to run it to examine the code, it merely returns to the command line, seemingly without any effect. After invocation, did a ps to check whether there was any process supporting cscope, found none. I'm a little confused as to why it seems to work when compiling the database, but won't let me look at the code.

Separate question: I can't seem to find kscope, the KDE front end for cscope, for either RH or FC. Does it exist? anyone know if it does?

Thanks in advance
pjz

Try to download 15.6, there was some reported segmentation fault that have been corrected.
Even compiling cscope yourself shouldn't be a problem.
I'm using cscope a lot and very rarely kscope (haven't really understood the UI logic lol)

For kscope I have no clue where to find it. Otherwise, well, its time for you to compile or package it... I find that more and more, not a lot of things are packaged for Fedora.

Thanks, nx5000.

I'm using Debian at work and finding apt to be a really great package handler. I'd regret departing Red Hat/Fedora, because my experience there has been so positive, but if support is dwindling....

I'll see if I can find cscope 15.6 for RH/FC.

Thanks a bunch for the tip.
