By the way, have you tried installing your Memorex software using Crossover Office? If yes, how did it work? Do you use Crossover Office at all?
Crossover isn't free so I haven't tried it.

i tried that gLabels program. It is quite good. You may need to use Gimp to create some effects, but the simple fact that the program supports major label templates gets my vote.

...well, MS software aint free either! :-) I would recommend you to try it. I have the ability to flawlessly run Photoshop, Dreamweaver, QuickTime, OziExplorer, and lots of other useful apps on my Linux box. And I think with version 3.0.1 Codeweavers did a great job (comparing to previous versions).

I don't buy ANY MS software. I mistakenly bought XP Pro because it came with my Dell computer. However, I usually don't buy ANY software. I only bought the Memorex Label Maker because I had to buy labels anyway and it came with it. It was $14.99 and with a $10 rebate at Best Buy, that was only $4.99.

I've looked into the Gimp CD labeling template and gLabels. They are as good as my Memorex CD/DVD Labeling kit. However, none of them will shape text automatically, read CD-text or CDDB info. That makes them incomplete as far as I'm concerned because any CD Labeling software should read CD-text and CDDB info (you should also be able to choose between Gracenote and freedb).
