Looking for a program to mount .iso images from hard drive
I used alcohol 120% with windows, to make a virtual drive to mount iso images from the hard drive to play saved movies, and what not. anyone recomend a similiar linux program to do the same task???
Also looking for a DVD shrink type program. Everything I see in google suggest to run the windows programs through WINE, but I would like a linux native program if possible. |

i havent run into that problem before and dont know of any programs that run on linux. But maybe a look through sourceforge will yeild some results.

There is k9copy that does the same as DVDShrink. XDVDShrink has a steep learning curve and does not recreate the DVD menus if you are making a full copy to fit on a DVD-5 (4.7 GB DVD disc). If you have a dual-layer DVD recordable drive, the utility vobcopy can be used to make a mirror copy of the DVD disc including the DVD menus. However, I have not yet test k9copy through the process of converting a DVD-9 to a DVD-5 disc to find out if it actually works, but it does find the titles, sound track information, and video track information from a DVD disc.

kiso also seems like an alternative, many different features, maybe what you are looking for, not to mention you can also create your own ISOs and supports encryption.
