Looking for a lightweight browser

I'm trying to create a minimalist installation with a small hard drive and memory footprint and decent responsiveness on a slow system. I tried Dillo, but a lot of web pages look, well, awful. Is there something that does a better job of displaying pages but uses less resources than Firefox or Opera?

The new Epiphany that uses WebKit ought to be pretty fast but I don't know all the requirements.

Google gave options of Midori, Hv3, digg-9.
But I have not used it myself.
