Hi all,

I'm looking for open source alternatives for these softwares:

i,An accounting software that would support all(or at least most) regular features that other commercial accounting packages like 'quikbuks' and M$ ones have.I'm particularly interested with one that would support inputs like payroll,invoicing,etc.

ii,A friend operates a media library and rents out the medium like DVDs and would like a way to manage the clients according to what they have borrowed,calculate late fees charges accrued for individuals,etc.
I was thinking of a PHP & MySQL based application would assist a lot.
Are there any open source softwares that meet my needs; I don't mind links to any howtos to accomplish this on my own.
