Logitech Quickcam Zoom linux 2.6.9

I recently bought a Logitech Quickcam Zoom webcam and I am trying to install the driver for it. I am running Mandrake 10 Official with a custom 2.6.9 kernel. I know that the pwc driver was recently taken out of the kernel tree, but I was wondering how I can somehow get the pwc/x modules installed. If you need any other information, let me know.

look here:

this guy is continuing the pwc driver and integrated the pwcx module into it.

I found it through this:

good luck!

ps. I am just trying to get the same cam to work on debian with a 2.6.8 standard kernel (with pwc included). The pwc module loads during boot, and shows the Logitech Quickcam Zoom registered on /dev/video0, but for some reason it is not seen by any v4l app.
Anybody knows how to fix this?
