Unhappy login takes long time

hey there, Ihave a problem logging on to my comp, I just upgraded to mandrake 10.1 official from mandrake 10 download version and when I go to login under normal user it takes about 3-4 mins to login after hitting enter, now it logs into root straight away with no probs just not normal users.
I tried adding new users but it does the same, I've also tried logging in in console mode and it does the same :-(
any help with this would be great.
Thanks in advance :-)

Does this happen after trying to login a few times? What command did you use to add new users?

It happens every time I login, and I added users in X (kde) with drakeconf :-)
