RH9, Kde, Opera 7
In the login options under RH9 there is something that says "LOGIN REMOTELY WITH GDM" and "ALLOW ROOT TO LOGIN REMOTELY WITH GDM" Do i need either of these? cuz they are both checked. I am on a home system with one user (me) its not a server and no one else uses my computer. thanks.
Do you have a home network of more than one computer?
If so, do you want other computers on that network to be able to get a GDM login screen and then login as root to that machine?
If you only have one computer or you do not want to be able to login using the GDM login screen from other machines on your home network then ensure that remote GDM logins are disabled.
If you do not have a firewall properly setup then you definitely
do not want to have remote GDM logins enabled.
I have a home network but i dont ever connect the machines to each other i just have the router to share internet service, Thanks, i will disable those two options.
