logical network infrastructure designing software

Hello!

Having a notwork >70 Switches >500 Pc is giving me a pain drawing all my infrastructure bye hand to have a nice looking documentation for my boss.

Not just to look good but to tell me where which switch is plugged in and what parts of our network will be offline pulling this cable.

I just hate to do this by hand.

Is there any opensource software which could inventory my network hardware 99.9% h3c and telling me what is plugged where ?

Thanks for any idea !

I'm not sure if this is pertinent to your needs, but you could go to the Cisco website and grab a copy of Cisco PacketTracer - I got it free for being in a few Cisco classes, it might not be free for everyone though. It does work in Linux.
