Logging in to SWAT as root...

Can someone tell me how to log in as root when using SWAT? When I use my "regular" login credentials, all that swat gives me is four icons (Home | Status | View | Password). My understanding is there should be a Globals icon to allow youto make changes to the smb.conf file. Since by default Ubuntu doesn't create a root user, how am I supposed to log in as root to configure smb.conf via SWAT?

Thanks,

Andy

sudo passwd root
set your new root password.

Thanks arckane. I was leary to add a root password (because I wasn't sure how to remove it). I found that I can edit /etc/shadow and just place a "!" symbol in the second field to basically disable root. I'm able to access SWAT as root user now.
