Log in screen bypassed when computer is started.

Hello all:

Just installed SuSE Professional 9.1 last Saturday, and liking it.

After a couple of days, though, the log in screen got bypassed somehow. I turn on the computer and after the boot process my user desktop appears without me having to log in at the log in screen and supply a password.

I don't recall checking any boxes to make this happen, though that could have happened.

Has anybody else experienced this issue?

Thank you.

Maybe you did click something.
If you look in /etc/inittab you will see what your runlevel is set to.

You are using 5 where what you want is 3.

For more info do a man on init.

Hope this helps,
alar
