Loading SuSE Linux 7.3
 
I am trying to load this version on my compaq. It seemed to grind to a halt when formatting the hard drive at hdb7. It set there for thirty minutes, then finally went on to load the apps. It now says that it has five hours remaining and seems to be running very slow. Is this right or is something wrong. Any ideas?:newbie:

I can't help you other than say something is wrong.
I just installed this distro on my dell along with W-me and I was up and running in about 30 minutes.
Did you select a full install of all apps or just the recomended ones? <<which I did.
