loading gnome as user :(
i cant seem to load gnome....i'm using Gentoo linux and gdm...
this is the .xsession-errors file that the thingy-ma-gig told me was where it kept it's logs. sorry i cant give you more detail.... i can log into gnome etc as root fine, but normal users have problems /etc/X11/gdm/PreSession//Default: Registering your session with wtmp and utmp /etc/X11/gdm/PreSession//Default: running: sessreg -a -w /var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x "/var/lib/gdm/:0.Xservers" -h "" -l :0 bond (bond is my username) |
Did you choose Gnome as the session type in GDM?

Yea, i'm talking about when i've typed in my user/pass and selected session type, while it is actually loading gnome, it comes up with a message talking about how the session lasted <10 secconds and it points to the posted log file
