lmysqlclient not found

Hi,
I want to install a package(snort) which needs mysql.
I have installed mysql-devel-4.1.10a-3.i586.rpm on my distro (SuSe)
but again when I want to make the package, an error occures:
"can not find lmysqlclient"
what can I do? I have installed mysql-devel but there is not any library called lmysqlclient. which package I have to install?

You'll want to install MySQL-client-standard and probably MySQL-shared-compat as well.
