lm_sensors and weird behavior with ssh
Hi y'all,
I wanted to monitor my cpu temperature on my linux box (Redhat 9) and installed lm_sensors tool package (secure.netroedge.com/~lm78/). I recompiled the kernel (2.4.21) and added the latest i2c (i2c-2.7.0) package. After a couple of re-compilation of lm_sensors package I finally got it working. I did all this remotely over ssh. When I went back home and tried the sensors command, it didn't work anymore. I re-installed all the modules and so on, but nothing worked. Then I logged in again with ssh and the thing works like charm. I just don't get it. If I log in at the console, it wont work ("No sensors found"), but if I'm using ssh, it works fine. Anybody encountered anything like this? I would appreciate any tips you might have. Thanks, //matti |
