lm_sensors and Intel 850

I'm running RH 8 on an Intel 850 mainboard, and I want to be able to check hardware temps and voltages and fans speeds, and since RH 8 comes with lm_sensors support, I tried to use it, but the documentation of lm_sensors is for the Internet downloaded version, it wasn't that much helpful.
What I tried to do is running sensors_detect, it detected 'SMBus I801 adapter at efa0', said that it's a 'Non-I2C SMBus adapter', then when probing it, all of the tests failed except one, finally the script suggested some lines to be added to /etc/rc* (I used rc.local) and /etc/modules.conf, I did, but when I run sensors I get:

eeprom-i2c-0-51
Adapter: SMBus I801 adapter at efa0
Algorithm: Non-I2C SMBus adapter

And nothing else, no temps or fan speeds...
My questions are:
1)Is the chip on my mainborad supported?
2)Am I missing something so sensors isn't giving temps?
3)Was anyone here able to run lm_sensors on RH8 and Intel 850?
Help!

I've checked the links below, but thisdidn't help...

Have you checked out the lm_sensors project to see if your chipset is supported? I built the most recent stable version on my i850 and found the same results as you - no go. There's lots of documentation at the main site and it's still a very active project so I'm confident that eventually this hardware will be supported.

thx for your reply,
looks like we need to wait sometime until we get supported :(
