llation in general, Mozilla in this case

Hey, I was just wondering if someone could walk me through the uninstallation of Mozilla. When I emerged gnome, mozilla was installed and waiting when I pulled the os up, but I want to get rid of it before I install firefox.

Also, is there anything specifically that I should remember whenever I want to uninstall a program under linux?

**edit**

Sorry about the thread name... that's supposed to say "Uninstallation in general..."

with gentoo:

Code:

# emerge unmerge mozilla
You might want to throw "--pretend" in there first to make sure what it's doing. As for uninstalling, it is completely dependant on how you installed it in the first place. For instance....with apps built from source, sometimes the author will include a "make uninstall" target in the makefile...and sometimes you are left to manually track down and remove the files.
