Live CD recommendation

I need a Linux Live CD that:
  • Is mainly used for Web Browsing activities like Email, Search, etc.
  • I can carry around from PC to PC. Home, Office, Campus, Friend's House, Hotel, etc.
  • No need for any hard disk install.
  • Stable.
  • Fast.
  • Lightweight.
I have tried tried a few Live CDs. Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.
These Live CDs contain a lot of "stuff".
Don't need all this baggage.

I just want to pop in the CD, boot up fast and start web browsing to read/respond to emails. That's all.

Which Live CD Distro would you recommend?

I generally use knoppix or gentoo liveCDs. Laptops can be a bit picky of which will boot, and generally one or the other works, but not alwas both. ubuntu studio and others are supposedly good too. The only problem I see with your needs is the networking. Wireless drivers are not very universal. You might need to suppliment your disc with a flash drive to afford any customizations you'll need to accomplish your goals with networking. If you need that kind of mobility, you might be better served with just taking a linux laptop with you.

XPUD was SCORCHINGLY !!! fast on qemu so I'd suspect it to be great on a stick or business sized cd. In fact I think it be the faster than my favorite BeOS.

Guess you could try the opensourced BeOS out too. Haiku-OS but I doubt it will beat the boot on Xpud.
